Hi guys, our VTC-200C has been throwing a battery alarm.
New to Mazak and wasn't sure where it was on the Mitsubishi systems so checked the manual.
Found that it is behind the rear cover, top left on back of the screen, but the manual states numerous times to ensure that the power is OFF when replacing.
Now this goes against anything I have experienced with Siemens or Fanuc or just about any other backup batteries I have replaced before. I have always always replaced them with the power ON, even if there is supposed to be 30 minutes of retention.
Is there good reason that Mitsi state this, or is it because they don't want you poking around the unit with the power on?
