Hello fine people,
I made a stupid late night mistake...(rpm limit 5000 instead of 1500) tossed a 40# work piece up into the top of door. No one injured, machine seemed fine on restart, ran a warmup cycle no problem. Today setup for a new part and the chuck isn't turning, won't home C axis. I'm assuming the high speed shot sheared a tapered pin connecting the motor and spindle? Never seen this before the motor is showing commanded rpm and I can hear it, but no movement, no errors.
Anyone dealt with this? The parts list shows a "spindle pin", is that what I'm looking for? Any advise on where it is? How to get to it, and what to order from Mazak would be greatly appreciated.
