I'm tightening up the gibs on a Mazak Slant (X axis) and was wandering if anyone knew just how much to tighten them and what the load meter should read after making the adjustment. I have been told to go hand tight on the screw then back them off 1/4 turn. The reason I'm asking this is becuase before I tightened the gibs the X axis load meter was reading in between 18 to 20% range. Now it is up around the low 40% range. Thanks in advance.
