Hello , Could anybody help me with this issue , the homing procedure of the sub spindle is not always working and i think it is a servo motor problem , when the machine is cold it works sometimes , the thing is i do not really need the subspindle and was thinking to dismantle the whole sub spindle but i do not know how to enter the software to make it work without the subspindle , you need to home the subspindle before the machine will operate so if anybody has some experience with this matter i would appreciate any suggestions !

Hi Eddy, I had the same problem you seem to be having when I first got my machine running. The sub-spindle would just home when it wanted to. I finally changed some of the parameters and it now homes all of the time. I took a couple of pictures of the "OP" parameters the way they are set now. I think the way OP2 is set seemed to make it home. It has been a year since I had the problem. My sub-spindle still doesn't work, but it will home. If you try and move the sub-spindle in Jog or Rapid mode before it is homed it generates a 281 error ( Home Return Not Complete ). Mine will move a bit before it errors but it sets the error. I haven't really tried to get the sub to work because it doesn't have a chuck on it and I haven't had a need for it. I have also asked on here if someone knows how to disable the sub-spindle completely but got no response. Hope this helps.
