Default MAZAK QT10 setting the CHUCK open when machine is powered up

    Hi!

    We have a MAZAK QT-10 T+ from around 96/97.
I was wondering if there is a SETTING og PARAMETER that makes the chuck stay open when the machine is powered ON?
Now it closes when we power the machine ON.

    All feedback is welcome

There should be a switch in the cabinet for the chuck

I have never heard of such a parameter
if you where desperate to stop the chuck movement you could pull the coil connector before turning on

Try R54 bit 5 set to 1. Should make the chuck stay where it is. ie if clamped ti stays clamped, if unclamped it stays unclamped. These parameters are listed in the electrical diagram. I have seen them in the front, after M code list, and in the middle also.
