Default Mazak QT10N, Ball Screw Stuck In THrust Bearing Assembly

Trying to get to thrust bearings. Can't get ball screw pushed out of thrust bearing assembly. I suspect there is crud in there. Any tricks? I would rather not pull the ball screw. If I have to, it looks like I could pull the ball nut and the thrust bearing housing on the screw to get it to the press.

I unbolted the far end support from the casting in order to get the ball screw to slide out of the thrust bearing assembly. Is the far support supposed to slide freely in the block?
