Mazak QT8 T32-2 Alarm 224 Chuck Sensor Malfunction

I have a QT8 with T32-2
Turned machine on today and this alarm 224 Chuck Sensor appeared and wont clear
Chuck operates as it should.Has anyone ran into this alarm and help out

Hi. There are usually 2 sensors on a lathe, one confirms chuck open, other one chuck closed. They're on top of kitagawa hydraulic cylinder unit. They burn from time to time.

This could also be telling you that your drawtube doesn't have the same travel as it used to,indicating dirt or debris in the chuck or collet system.
Worth a look.
You should be able to adjust the prox switches for the drawtube position. If you can, then you can see if the switch is bad.
If not, then take the chuck off and clean it.
