Hallo experts,

I have got a big problem with my cnc lathe Mazak SQT200M... specifically with the spindle. I turn on the spindle in manual mode and spindle is chopped turning and load of spindle is 120% at 10 rpm. I dont know.... I checked conctor for Y/D, encoder for spindle, preamp, a/d convertor and nothing problems. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have experience? I cand send videos or photos...

Thank you very much for the report.
and I'm sorry for my English, it isnt my native language.

Thanks, Pavel

thank you for your answer.... I tried and nithing ....unchanged. RPM 5000, spindle load 120%, motion chopped.
Any other idea? Motor or driver of spindle?

If the spindle drive is a FR-SE or a FR-SF there is a power supply at the top of the drive that has lots of outputs.
There is probably 1 or more outputs that are not working.
This leaves parts of the 3 phase output driving the motor missing thus the "chopped" or stopping momentarily then jumping back to position.

Now:

Obviously I am unable to set the phase of the spindle position measurement. I cannot adjust the phase on the A / D converter so that the appropriate LED is lit. Does anyone have experience in setting up an A / D converter?

Get the drive checked out first. with part of a sine wave missing, the motor has no torque to hold position.
So this problem may go away when the first problem is fixed.

so, I measuring output signal on ac driver with osciloscope. Output signal is rather saw signal but not sinus.
What is the signal on output? Sinus, yes? Saw signalthe would be ... bad capacitors?
