MAZAK QT 15 With T-2 Control
After Re-initializing control all data seemed to reload fine.
We put in a simple program. The machine went to index but turret just unclamped then just started indexing with out finding a [position to stop. NO alarms
I noticed after restarting machine and homing out there is no tool number displayed on machine position page.
turret can be indexed manually from station to station.
Would this be a prox switch or a parameter error.

Thanks for any help

Sounds like parameter error if it worked before you lost parameters.
How many tools positions does it have and could you post picture of the parameter pages?

If turret is unclamped it will not show the correct tool position.
If you look at the diagnostic page and put cursor at a H and type 0 and input you can see the H0 bits.
H0-1 is turret unclamp sensor
H0-2 is turret clamp sensor

If you look at H1 bit you will find the signal from the prox switches:
H1-0, H1-1, H1-2, H1-3 and H1-4 is used to set turret position, see table in the picture.

Number does not appear clamped or unclampedIMG_20190318_143419843.jpgIMG_20190318_143439669.jpgIMG_20190318_143424919.jpgIMG_20190318_143428521.jpgIMG_20190318_143432861.jpg

I guess you have faulty unclamp sensor or if it need to be adjusted.
If you locate cable and or terminal marked "TUC" or may be "TUC.PRS" in the electric cabinet and disconnect it H0-1 should turn into a "0" and you should be able to read the toolnumber on the screen.
That will not solve your problem but it narrow down the problem.
When my QT10ATC T3 has the turret clamped it has H0-1=0 and H0-2=1
I think you can reach the sensors from the backside of the turret body.

Ps. your monitor missing the blue color.
