    Default QT-15 x-axis twist

    Hi,

How much twist in the x-axis stroke is "ok"? The machine qt15 1988

Acording to the precision level its 0.1mm @ 1meter. Moves 5 points on a 0.02mm/m level. Its a railguide machine so that much wear sounds weird. Could it be that some of the M8 bolts that holds the rails down have been loose? Turret is dropping at the bigger diameter.

Z-axis I manage to adjust it spot on. Could it be that a post crash have straighen then rail bolts? Becouse there is no adjustment for this x-axis twist right?

I could'nt sleep. So I remove the covers, and yes the bolts were loose as i espected. I could Only reach the 3 in the front but it made a big diffrence down to 0.02mm/meter in twist now. I Think you can live with that ? Atleast until i have time to unbolt the servo so i can move the turret More back to reach the öast ones.

glad you found something because I was going to say a qt15 is to short and to rigid for much twist to be possible
