Hi, I've been a long time lurker but this is my first post.

I recently picked up a QT6T. It has the Kitagawa B205 chuck. I would like to put on a collet chuck but am having trouble nailing down the correct spindle type. No manuals came with the machine so I'm kind of flying blind.

Does anybody have Info on this? Maybe a drawing or print of some sort? Part # or place to buy one off the shelf?

I would prefer 5c or 2j, but open to anything that's short enough that it doesn't interfere with the tool setter.

Thanks for all the great content, I've learned a lot here.

i pulled up a pic of a 6t
looks like the same chuck face as a qt8. A2-5
if it turns out that that is correct i have a collet chuck and a box of pads. all you would need is to make a draw tube
100 bucks plus shipping
its warner swasey style 3 pan system. pretty common in that class lathe. still readily available i believe but check me on that

This is the 5C collet chuck on my QT6T. I have all the manuals here if you need more info...

w&3 #3 collet pads goes up to 1 1/2"round, 1 1/6" square

just sayin

if you go with a "c" style 16c seems more appropriate for a machine in this class

Thanks For the reply's I appreciate it.

After some digging and with the part # from JHanko's pic's, here's what I have found. In case anyone needs it
