Default SQT18M T32 Counter Balance Pressure

Does anyone know what the counter balance pressure should be set at? I'm getting some strange intermittent axis loads and I suspect it could be a hydraulic issue, when I clamp / unclamp the chuck the axis load changes!

You might want to check that the counter balance valve is operating properly. Please don't take my suggestions as gospel as I am totally unfamiliar with your machine, but have a similar counter balance on my VMC. Mine uses pressurized N2, but the concept is the same. I did quick search and came up with some info on how the valve works and the setting protocol.

Hope this helps, but even in the case that it does not, it contains some good info to keep in your back pocket.

    Cheers, Doug
