Starting mid program on Mazak QT200

I’m threading and the threads are too big, so we exit the program, comp our tool. It’s annoying to run through the whole program again. I’m trying to start mid program, but when I go to EIA monitor, find the line I want and hit the Restart2Nonmodal button, I get “428 Memory Protect (Auto Operation)” error message, and it won’t let me hit cycle start to start the program. Could I be missing something? Or how can I fix that?

Did you actually hit the reset button before trying to restart or just go into a manual mode? That kind of alarm will come up if you are still in an active program.

Why would anyone use EIA thread program?
Use Mazatrol and restart the thread unit, not the whole program.
