    Default V5 belleville stack

My V5 needs serious help. It will not retain tools. Therefore I need some ideas about how to go about swapping out the stack.

For starters the machine is a '83; apparently a bit after Mazak switched from pulling the spindle out the bottom to removing it from the top.
With out going on forever a basic outline of what is needed to replace those 100+ washers (spring) that tension the fingers that hold the retaining knob. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not knowing anything about the machine, bellevilles will gradually relax. Replace the entire set if you can.

Replace them all he must - no mixing old and new spring washers! And if they're cracked be certain that all bits are cleaned out, and no debris is left in the cavity.
