Ah DOGS !! My other collection problem ,the Dal passed last year and the Yellow Lab missed the group shot. I really like my GSD but the 10 or so Dals I have had are my fav.

It is official. it just recorded at title. We own it. Finally!
We get the keys to the rest of the property tomorrow.

We just got back from going out for ice-cream with the seller and her daughter to celebrate.

I already feel 100% better. This whole process beat me down pretty hard.
Now I can erase that giant question-mark looming over my head. and just get back to work.

It's over. Breathe. Smile. Relax. Enjoy.

    Stop relaxing. Get to work.

Now the work begins! When are you going to start to move the shop? Did you sort out what you are going to do for power in the shop?

Move begins some time in February. I do not have a hard-date yet. The lease is running out FAST!
I will be hounding the power-company starting today to get after the service upgrade.
That will necessitate a new transformer, a new panel on the shop, and a new panel on the house.

Yes, now the real work begins. I am going to be spread very thin for at least 3-4 months.
As, the shop is still as busy as ever. Back to 3-4hrs of sleep a night. At least I will be sleeping under my own roof when I do sleep.

First thing we have to do is un-pack. I feel the un-packing is going to be significantly worse than the packing was!
All I know is, 80% of the floor in that shop is covered in shtuff piled 3 and 4 tiers high.
I have no idea how she plans to get all that shit in the now significantly smaller house. Let alone the big trailer that is packed to the hilt as well.

At least she knows she needs to get all that shit out of there! LOL. And, I have good things to bitch and moan about now.
"Damn it woman! Git yer shit outta the way! " Yea, that will get me

Congrats Wheelie! ..... One of the best feelings was when we bought our building, after renting for quite awhile I was almost giddy with the idea that any modifications and changes I made or wanted to make to the building were now permanent not a quick fix to get me by.

I'm happy for ya Wheelie. But packing/moving/unpacking sucks. Big time. I'd rather get a lap dance from Hillary or have all my teeth pulled without novocaine. (OK.....the lap dance would be worse)

YES! I like permanent. I do everything in a permanent fashion anyways. Which kinda makes it worse, knowing it really isn't! LOL
Combine that with the fact that I am not throwing money to the wind every month when I write the rent check! And, I am very happy!

LOL, yes, that lap dance would land me in prison! Hilarious!

I think un-packing is going to be way worse than packing was!
This is the first time I have moved, that I was not traveling pretty light.
When I moved from PA to AZ, it was very much an impulse decision.
I literally went from no inclination to ever leave home, to packed and headed down the road, not to return, in two days.
I put anything important in Mom/Dad's basement (some of it is still there! LOL).
Gave my (rented) place to a buddy, completely furnished, even kitchen-ware (he still lives there!).
I had a 4x4truck with an 8ft bed. I packed my dirt-bike, as many tools as I could, and my clothes in that truck.
Gave any tools I couldn't take to my brother. Said a bunch of teary-eyed good-byes. And down the road I went.
That was 2000. Have not even been back to visit. I really want/need to go back for a visit.

So, this is only the third time I have ever moved, including moving out of Mom/Dad's, and moving from PA to AZ.
From the time I got to AZ, to the time I settled down with Allison, I just kinda bounced around between a couple friends.
I completely destroyed my right tib/fib/ankle about a year after I got here. And, that was a pretty low time. I was on crutches for two years.
I traveled real light, with basically the same load I came here with, until Allison happened in 03'.
When we met I had nothing (but a truck and tools), and was pretty much homeless. Living with a friend.

But, now, I don't know when it happened? we have a WHOLE LOT OF SHIT! LOL
Now that it is all in one spot where you can pretty much see it all. We just stand there and look at it like
Where the fuck are we gonna put it all?!
UN-packing is going to be way worse than packing!

Mine I think. Usually only share with 3,the GSD stays on the floor and the Dal passed on last spring. At one time in my black & white period I would have 5 Dals there with me.

    Congrats Wheelie.
I've enjoyed following this thread since you started it, and seeing your dream come to life.
I'm very happy for you. As we all know you have worked very hard for this.
You have earned it the old fashioned way and you deserve it. Big time.
    Congrats again man!

Well, Thank-You! Thanks for acknowledging the hard work. I am doing it the old-fashioned way, as best I can.
I really value my dignity, and pride. The phrase "I got it honest" rings true with me. My Dad taught me well.
After saying that, sometimes I wish some guys could see everything that goes on "behind the monitor".
I have had some huge helping hands along the way. Sometimes I feel guilty for the amount of help a few certain people are always contributing.
And, I never seem to be able to repay the countless favors. No matter how bad I want to.
They will get theirs though. One way or another!
