Those last few multi-axis jobbies are definately something to behold, but I can't imagine trying to earn a living with them today.

As long as you are in it for the nostalgiac approach, then life should be good!

You are right. You know Keith Rucker I think I am like him in a way .
The machines that I have are used(by me, 3 full time and one part-time enployees ), not all but some are.
The smaller mill with mili axis table I have it for 1 year , but in the older pictures it`s with a regulary table.
I am in this trade for a little over 1 year and all the money that I have earned I put it back in shop.
This week I will give the advance for the first cnc machine. It will be a lathe. I have in plan a cnc mill for next year.
I was looking for a simple 50 taper mill to square the material for a future cnc mill. This was a very good deal , a little under what I was willing to pay for a simple one , but this came with a lot more. It have a few isues , but I think I will manage it.

Don't think he comes around here at all ,these Youtube types seem to give up on PM when they hit the big time.

You can find him as a contributor in one of the trade journals now and aggin.
I think it's Cutting Tool Engineering.

He always (OK, usually) has good stories, but this one just busted me up!

It apears to be a nice guy from what I have seen on his videos.
I was cheching a little bit(a lot of post ; I watched only the photos) your post with your shop and you have some old iron to.

I think next week it will come:
-german WMW coordonate drilling machine - you can do also some lite but very acurate milling with it
-german Union Chemnitz horizontal boring/milling - I think this one is from the 40`s

The shop is preaty crowded. I have spoke with the guy from who I bought the SHW mill to pick it up from him in february/march and I think with this two will be the same.
Until then I am looking for a new and biger space for the shop.

    Hi,

I also bought the TITAN RU100 grinder.
Do you have a manual for this grinder?

I have a problem with table speed. The table speed is very high and does not respond to the regulator.

    regards,

The machines are in very good condition but they havent been cleaned for some time
I am very hapy with the condition of RPO and RU because that are the ones that I am willing so keep. The lathes and the shaper I think I will sell them. They were in the pachage.

    hey,
    sorry for the late reply.
I dont have the manual , but I think the problem is a valve that it is blocked on open. You have the lever that engages the left to right move. Near that is the button that open and close the valve and it have 2 steps. My english is not to good but : first step from 0 movement of the table to half of the speed , second step from half of the speed to the maximum speed.
This ones are in the left side of the machine.

I hope it will be helpful.

    regards,
    cata
