Carolina band saw I put on wheels, in the what is left of the garage end of the building. with the presses and welders. 30x40 looked real big when I started.
 
That's a nice shop, Is the metalworking department separated ? Material storage in the shop always makes it a little messy. Althouh it's neatly stored in a rack, it lies there collecting dust and hard to reach when more machines are put in front. I have the same problem in my shop.

Isn't it easier to fabricate a hydraulic press ?
 
The wall behind the lathe separates the shops. I definitely have too much wood scraps. I didn't have that problem when I had a wood stove.
I needed the mechanical press for broaching and it's alot faster for light press work.
