One of my old next-higher loved his VW "fastback". Tall, so he repositioned the seat rails to make use of what HAD been rear footwell.

That wasn't the odd part though. He massed close to 400 lbs Avoir as well.

So.. he installed suspension boosters and ran larger wheels and tires. Front and rear. But driver's side. Only.

Odd-duckling of a VW then sat comically lopsided all day in the carpark. Until he got behind the wheel.

PhD Physicists make for some unlikely hot-rodders, but yah gotta respect 'em...

Just finished this LH & RH weld fixture. All went well until I found I`d made a mistake on the DXF file I`d sent to the flame cutters
Stood it up so it can be welded on both sides as the tube is welded on top of the one bracket then the underside of the other.

Seams like there is a bit of work about at the minute, hope it continues

Jan the 14th all ready, a belated Happy new year.
I produced 30-off of these just before Christmas only 11% of the billet left once finished machined.
Had a big clean round the work shop between Christmas & the new year + changed the suds in both machines, never a job I look forward too but needed doing.
