What is the groove with (apparent) bolt holes just inboard from the hard jaws?
Is that to bolt down moveable stops?

The center fixed jaw is one solid piece. No individual hard jaws. Kinda like it. No bolts holes to fill with chips......................

The grooves are for those Talon Grips.............I've never used them? And yes, you can bolt a stop in the groove too..................

The movable jaws can be 180'd to use carve smart soft jaws...............the center jaw can be swapped out to accept carve smarts or just plain old bolt on soft jaws.

I like the talon grips, use them regularly. Better I think than the ones that have the serrations on the whole length. Thanks for sharing your opinion of the vises. I am sure we will get to hear more about them once you use some of the extras.

I used them for the first time recently, worked great. You can see stops at the left end.

Happy Thanksgiving folks................grateful for all the Lord has done for me..............................

The boy had fun with an old saw blade............enjoyed it so much I told him he's gettin' one in his Christmas stocking......................the 1 1/4" blades need a little stronger wrist to wrap up, but they bounce a little more...............I grew up so poor this would have the best toy ever!..............simple things, eh?
