Default Ball bars in the UK?

    Hi All,
I need to purchase a Ball bar so I can calibrate a metrology system.
Seems like a 200mm ball bar would be an off the shelf sort of item, but I cant find a UK supplier....

    Any leads gratefully received.

    cheers

    Dave

    what about http://www.precisionballs.com/products.htm ?

You might have to poke around to find what else they may have.

BalTec (precision balls) is the only place Ive found them off the shelf so far, but they are in the USA...
The Renishaw kit looks like a sensor in a ball bar shape if you see what I mean.
I didnt think that a simple, solid one piece ball bar would be a difficult item to find, but my google skills must be lacking....

    cheers

I can get precision balls with holes in them and 1/2" dia carbon fibre tube. then I have a little CMM time booked, so for this demo it looks like I can squeek by...

Just thought Id post a quick update.
Rolled my own, using CF tube and precision 316 stainless balls. Cut the tube with a hacksaw, aiming for a nominal CC length of 175mm. Dead happy when it came back from calibration at 175.3mm
Also had to make a mount to attach it to our automated pan tilt stage. Split wedge type clamp, fits into the hole in the stage top plate.
