    Default Boeckeler Model #9598

    Hi Folks. One of the mics on my Nikon V-10 has seized up.Has anyone endeavored to take one apart?

    They use some lube on it that freezes up, I'm not sure why they do it. Even worse, they charge $800 to repair, flat price.

    They're kinda a pain to take a part, and down over turn the head, the ribbon cable runs through the mic into the encoder and can shear.

    Be very careful not to scratch the encoder disc (which is photo film).
    Yes, disassembly is a pain!
