What is the make and model of the encoder? Any specs or picture of the nameplate? We might be able to help if you ship the failed encoder back to us. In most cases we can figure out the wiring and make one of ours with the same connector and compatible output signal.
Try Prime Tech Sales, they are out of NY. I have a Brown and Sharpe Gage 2000 CMM as well. We have always used them for service and parts if needed. I've never had to replace any encoders but maybe they can help you.
