I've got a micrometer set labeled "BZG POLYPLAN" (Swiss Made, Geneve). Does anyone know anything about the maker?
It's the nicest interchangeable anvil micrometer set I've seen. The basic mic is a rapid advancing spindle with a window showing .001 and a widely spaced vernier showing .0001. I've seen similar micrometer spindles made by Steinmeyer (Microfix) and Etalon (Micro-Rapid). The POLYPLAN mic body is also marked "Microfix" - just like the Steinmeyer.
What's amazing is the set of gage-block like accessories that clamp to the end of the mic, extending it's range to 4", adding a base, and five anvils (standard, pin, knife, V etc.). The three 1" extension blocks wring together like gage blocks, and have a hole through each to clamp to the end of the micrometer frame.
Anyone know anything about "POLYPLAN" ?
