Checking Internal Threads with Interapid Groove Comparator?

Has anyone tried to use the Interapid 79-108640 groove comparator to check internal threads before to me it seems like it could work.

Has anyone tried to use the Interapid 79-108640 groove comparator to check internal threads before to me it seems like it could work.

With the right diameter balls could probably be done but would involve quite a bit of mathematics. There are many much easier ways.

Try Googling "internal thread pitch diameter measurement" and you'll find several ideas and solutions.
