Default DRO scale ID help please

Does anyone recognize this scale? It is on a mill that I bought. There are no encoders or other parts. I was hoping to re use these. Are they good for anything?

I'll research how I'm supposed to post pictures.

    Thanks in advance.

    Nic

It might be an old Sony Magnescale Digiruler-based scale. I have a Sony with a magnetic tape embedded in the face like that, but the base is black anodized angle instead of a flat bar. The tape is on the inside face of one of the angle's legs. I use for the Z on my lathe. The scale is mounted on the rear of the bed with the tape facing down and protected by the angle. The reader has a set of "way wipers" that keep the crud off the scale. The scale came to me around 6 ft long, but I cut it down. Magnescale is still in business, with no mention of Sony anymore.
