    Default Emuge Self Locking Thread

    Has anyone seen this type of thread before and knows how to inspect one?
    I have M6 X 1.0 emuge self locking thread.

    Any reason not to ask Emuge themselves?

    If you know any other method of checking them would be very helpful. For example; over wires, comparator, pitch mic, etc.

    How did your boss tell you to inspect them? I'm ASSuming you're just tapping. So just make sure your drill size is right and tap is right and move on. Just get the ok from the boss first so it doesn't fall back on you.

    That is such a classic shop management move. Let's try this proprietary super duper system.... what?? $300 gage nah. Hey CNC programmer/engineer/button pusher Figure it out.

    Just to add that gage runs $172.32 list.

    Tell the boss you need 2 days to make one......

    $20/hr. x 16 hrs. = $320.00....... not bad.......

    IIRC, Spiralock gages (similar) go for $600ish at least they did 15 years ago.
