I have a Starrett 717 gage amplifier, I wanted to know if there are adapters available to adapt different probe heads (possible other manufacturers) to this model, or, if there are pin-outs available so that I can change cable ends or make my own adapters. I tried to search for information related to the schematic or electronic diagram for the probe heads, but I was not so lucky. Does anyone out there have any information? I took apart my Starrett P2731 last night just to look under the hood, and it looks just like any DRO glass scale head. I hate to spend a goofy amount of money on a probe head for this specific model amplifier, when I can just use what I already have.
