I was interviewed by Dirk Dusharme - editor in chief of Quality Digest, as being the proud winner of the 2020 Zeiss #measuringhero Award (category smallest measured component). Ain't that great?

Here's the link to the video:

Dutch Toolmaker Wins Zeiss contest for smallest measured component - YouTube

We talked about:
- The winning component: 0.4 x 0.4 x 0.3 mm (0.016 x 0.016 x 0.0012").
- What temperature does to the parts and the CMM.
- What I've learned from the contest

Really inspiring- thank you for having made you/your team available to do this.
Favorite quote - "I have to compete." (Are you sure you aren't an American?! just kidding) Great job and fun to watch. Congratulations.

LOL and thanks! Absolutely positive: not American. 😀

So was the contest about measuring the small component, or making it to print? Just curious, skipped around in the video...

It was about measuring the smallest component. The smallest volume (L x W x H) was the winner.

So not about making it to print. That was a different struggle. Without any awards... :-)
