Keyence XM Benchtop CMM

This thing is an absolute back killer.
You are forced to hunch over your workpiece for hours at a time pecking out hundreds if not thousands of data points.
The augmented reality interface is glitchy as all hell and disappears all the time.
hold your arms straight out at shoulder level for an hour and tell me how you feel.
Avoid this torture device at all costs.
Keyence makes great stuff, but this Is'nt it..
 
For Petey's sakes - you doo understand that this is a "bench top" type unit eh?
Keyence has no input as to which bench that you put it on, nor how tall you are. (or aren't)
Run out to Steel Receiving at breaktime and when no-one is looking, scrounge up an even number of 4by's of fair condition and scurry them back to your bench and slip them underneath your unit.

Now maybe the "glitch" issue is real, but hard to take seriously if your major fuss is the height of the unit... ???

Promises promises...we have there IM machine, and the software is to be desired. Free upgrades for life...that's great if they actually upgrade their software, and add simple things like bolt circles. Don't want to sour their machine, but they really should back things up a bit.
