    Default Measurement uncertainty interval

    Hi everyone,

    I hope I'm posting this in the appropriate section, or perhaps even the appropriate forum! I'm hoping someone can help me calculate the characteristics attached for the torque values attached, that's assuming I can calculate an uncertainty interval from the values at all. From what I understand the expanded uncertainty is the uncertainty interval multiplied by a coverage factor (I.e. K2).

    As a lowly inspector, I rarely come across uncertainty in the direct sense like this, more of an awareness of it's potential impact on my measurement.

    A very good and easy to use template for uncertainty calculation can be downloaded from the Canadian standards bureau (NRC) here:

    The main item you need to enter as line items are;
    -resolution
    - uncertainty of the standard you are using in the test
    - repeatability
