Hi everyone. I have maybe a silly question, which I already have an answer to most likely, just want to see what all of you think.

So I might be buying an Older 4.5.4 B&S and I need to move it 900miles, it won’t fit into my E350 standing up as its 87” tall, but It will fit if I lay it down, i dont know how critical that might be thought.

Can anyone explain the cons?

I would ass-ume you can take the "Z" cover off and lower the head to make it significantly shorter.

The reason used cmm's are often cheap is that moving them is not easy.

I am not familiar with that particular cmm, or how it's constructed.

That said, cmm's generally make pretty good use of gravity to hold themselves together.

It's unlikely you can put it on it's side without breaking anything. I'd consider taking it apart if you really want to move it.

That would still require some degree of disassembly, as there will be a frame underneath that cover that contains the counterweight assembly. Probably not a big deal though.
