Good day everyone. We have a CMM, and my operator for that is requesting something I can't seem to find. We are looking for a self-centering lathe style chuck, but with a hand operated (not a T-handle) movement on the face of the chuck. He swears he has seen something like it, but many google searches have come up empty. The closest I have found is a 4-jaw, low profile mill chuck....which would work if it was self centering as we measure rounds almost exclusively. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know this isn't what you're asking, but a screwdriver handle meant for 3/8" sockets will allow you to operate the chuck without removal from the CMM base. I use them like a speed handle on my 4 jaws.
