I recently aquired an older PZO toolmakers microscope, model MWM. Old school technology, but well built and in excellent condition for being nealy fifty years old. Made in Poland, and feels like it weighs fifty pounds. Looks very similar to a Gaertner. Micrometer heads are direct reading to 0.0001 and the optical protractor is direct reading to 1 minute. I still have to pickup the owners manual, and a couple of accessory stages from the previous owner. When I get the manual, I would be happy to share info with those in need.

Late getting to this, but I just bought the exact same model of microscope. Missing the 6V power supply, but not a big deal.

I haven't been able to figure out the release for the lock on the protractor (unless mine is frozen, which seems unlikely). Also, do you have photos of the accessory stages? Or, a scan of the manual?

Mine's otherwise in pretty good shape overall. I've got a variable DC supply that I'll try the lights on tonight. Hope to get a set of Starrett gauge blocks next month. The local supplier has been excellent.
