One thing I learned from using thread wires, is to buy a thread pitch mic. Or two. Or whatever to cover the usual range of work.

Hahaha - very true.
Makes life very easy in comparison. And tools are all tax deductible so why not have them!

This is the very fastest and most accurate way in my opinion. I bought my own to use and QC checked them how they could. It is unlikely that QC’s are willing to buy these because they don’t want machinists to break them. I understand that and it is why I never lended mine out. I’ve made mistakes with other tools which I used and those that broke them never paid for the replacement.
