This “sensor” is inside the front left electronics compartment up in the top left corner. It has two wires coming out. Any idea what it is for?

Over-temperature switch (bimetallic strip inside like a Klixon).

I’m guessing this is a 60’s Module Drive Machine.

Comes in handy when the QSD relay sticks closed and the braking resistor start glowing red hot.....

The factory fixed that around 1979 with a new QSD circuit. I have seen the new unit fitted to older machines.
