Hello all. My 30" 12CK is missing the TA bed clamp. I'd like to machine or cast one out of aluminum unless I can find one. Does anyone happen to have any dimensioned drawings of an original 12CK bed clamp, or maybe just some decent photos from different sides? Is aluminum a bad idea? I saw Cal mentioned that making one too strong can be a problem, but is cast aluminum too weak?

Thanks in advance,
Josh

There are several threads on this if you can find them. When I got my 12CK a couple years ago I found them. I may have even posted in one of them. My taper bed clamp was broken and repaired. Don't seem to have any good pictures at the moment.

It's being used on a job that I have the taper set up for so it's on the lathe, but here's a few close up pictures:

The nut is what clamps it to the bed. I'm guessing the outboard bolt and associated horizontal hole is used with the variator? (I don't have one).
