$40,000 10EE... Ebay delusion

Ok? Which one of you fine gents painted and ground your 10EE for a showing on ebay?

Hard to tell from the pictures but it looks pretty nice. But cant you go right to the folks (Monarch) who know this machine and get one rebuilt for thirty or so from them? JRouche

Oh its probably just a mistake in the listing, decimal point issue. Starting bid is really $3500 w/ BIN of $4000.

I'd be happy with a used, but not abused EE. Or, an older engine lathe. I've run many Monarchs over the years from a EE up to a 32"x244" engine lathe. There's a 13" x 78" in the shop I work in now and it's idling as I type this. Every one has been quite good and has done everything I've asked.

If I could justify 50k with enough work to pay for it, I'd buy a rebuilt machine from Monarch in a heartbeat. They've got one on their website for 54k right now. If only....dangit!

25K for a full mechanical rebuild with a paint job on a EE no new drive and a few other things that get done on a full remanufacture.
