That's a manufacturing model, without a leadscrew and hence the ability to cut threads. $8900 is crazy for that machine.

It IS a crazy price for that machine, it IS however a regular 10EE with a drive conversion. The tach is removed but there is a gear box and all the other features of a 10EE without ELSR.

Why do all the oil sight glasses look like their empty? The lube ain't that clear.

There is a white background piece behind the sight glass with a black line on it to indicate full. There is a narrow gap between the glass and the white background. If the oil is clean it isn't easy to see on photos because its a thin layer.
