carriage locked to the left

Hi,
I use a 10ee in my home workshop. This never happened before. I wanted to do some drilling, so I turned the carriage handwheel to move the carriage all the way to the left. Didn't do anything else. It is now locked there and when I try to force it, it just raised the left end of the carriage, but won't move it to the right any more. What happened???

Pinion off rack slightly?

Try moving carriage gently toward tail stock WHILE also slightly rotating handwheel in that direction

A maybe way to enable this is a wood lever against HS and front corner of carriage saddle

It worked!

Thank you! Just a little urging to the carriage with a gentle crowbar and a little turn of the wheel, and it moved very nicely! Can't thank you enough.
