The spindle appears to have a really bad bend at the chuck end. It's like 90 degrees...
I guess I'll watch the auction Monday.
You seem to may not have picked up on the joke.......just in case....the spindle isn't bent!
Picture of nameplate from the add.1946It is a square dial, motor generator, DC drive, most likely a 3 hp DC motor. I have two of these and mine are from 1951. The date should be on the nameplate.
" needs motor repair" gives no description of what is needed. It might be repairable or the motor generator may be in bad shape.
