My 1960 with the spindle pulley uses gates 25-080384, with the ribs side against the pulleys.

This one is late model (1991) I measure 36" approx. Sound right?

The thing I did was to pull the idlers in most of the way and ran a string all around. Cut the string and measure it, ordered the flat belt from McMaster. Looks like I ordered 34" of 6082K12, this for my '56. Yours would have the crowned pully on the spindle and would likely need a longer one.

Gates K060370 worked for me.
I ordered the one from Monarch, it was too short. Terrie swore there was only one size. Obviously not true since it didn’t fit. From looking at pictures there is an obviously smaller gearbox pulley that went with the non-sleeve spindles. My sleeve type used 38 1/2 inch. The Monarch part was about 37 inches. I got a 39 inch 8V multi rib for about $10 off eBay.
