How much does a Monarch 16CY bed weigh?

Mine is 54" between centers. I'm going to send the bed out to be ground and need to line up a freight carrier. They will want the approximate weight. Has anyone weighed one of these and if so, what were the results?

Not a 16CY, but I just moved my Series 61 bed recently, also 54" between centers, and a similar class. I didn't put it on a scale, but I have a general idea what weight was based on the load on my rigging and such. I was thinking it to be in the area of 2500-3000 lbs. I think if you estimate 3000, you won't put carrier over weight.

165 per foot here (see where is says 330 per two feet?)

Of course that is over all, not just the 54"

This will have a built in adder like additional lead screw, feed rod, etc

Like the machine shown here? MONARCH 18” x 54” Engine Lathe Model 16CY - YouTube

If fully stripped down, my guess is around 2500lbs, so at Tex's low end. I wouldn't be shocked if it was lighter than that, maybe under a ton.

Yes, this is the same machine. 18.5 inches over the ways, 9" over the cross slide.
