From what I've found so far, I think it may be a 1909-1910, because the identification numbers are stamped between the ways, as apposed to being stamped on the flat tailstock way. The other thing that I have not seen before, is the way the lead screw support bracket is attached, using bolts from top down, rather than horizontally into bed.

The legs, lead screws and the apron did not come with this lathe that I bought for $50. I was able to get it running, and with the tool post I made, it takes a 0.040" cut on steel with no problem.

Thanks for the brochure, lots of great detail. I can see alot of changes in design from the lathe I have, and alot of details that are the same.
I find factory original documents of these great old lathes very interested.

I thought I would post a picture of the identification numbers of my lathe.
The first photo is of my lathe, in which I'm thinking the numbers mean machine No. 135 and lot No. 9, I base this on the second photo of the oldest model A identification numbers I could find. It's possible that in the early years, Monarch didn't stamp Lot. infront of the lot number.
If my assumptions are correct, then my lathe may be a very early build, possibly a 1909, because of the low Lot number.
