A friend and I just picked up his auction acquition - a LeBlonde 16x60 in decent shape, with center rest, follow rest, 3 jaw, 4 jaw, faceplate, dog driver plate and a bunch of tooling. All for $700. Motor seems small at 3hp but I think that's a plus. Here's a pic on the trailer:

I'm thinking that it's a Regal model, can someone confirm that? I told him I'd hunt up a manual for him.

Yep, a Regal. Much newer than my 1942-ish 17" LeBlonde 30" 'War Trade' version.
These are strong machines, but they can have teeth missing from the small pinion gears for the very slow speeds.
I'll suggest taking the top off of the headstock and look for missing teeth on the rear-most shaft.

The LeBlonde 17" I have is strong and a work-horse, but it's straight-cut spur gears are noisy, and you can 'feel' the noise.

A friend's 18" Monarch CK with it's helical cut gears is much quieter and smoother..
And of course my MG-Round dial, 1941 10ee is virtually silent. only the MG running can be heard. and it's silky smooth as well.
