Narrow and wide vee fingers for a round dial follower rest. Originally each follower rest came with two fingers (one wide and one narrow), but every one I have seen for sale only has one. The one on the right is broken, the knob and the end of the screw are missing.
    Attachment 146620

Monarch indexing toolpost, turret bed stop with 4 lufkin micrometer heads, square dial clamshell indicator that mounts on the left edge of the saddle, bed stop that mounts on the same dovetail as the indicator.

Is the turret bed stop still available?

    Dave,

I'm going to need some parts for my 43 round dial. Do you have an updated list of what is still available?

    Thanks,

    Guy

I'll update the list when I get back from a short trip to Palm Desert to celebrate my mother-in-law's 90th birthday.

These items have sold: metric transposing dials, metric transposing gears, early round dial dial-indicator, C16J tubes, Monarch square block tool post and holders, taper attachment micrometer, tracer micrometer, spindle stop, one tailstock ram (still have a couple), one round dial tach, round dial cross slide dial assembly (still have one for square dial), one CH contactor (still have a couple). So about 90% remains.

    Dave,

What about the alluminum rack that you showed earlier for the Monarch tool holders?

Is the carriage stop with the Lufkin micrometers still available also?

"Bronze dials for a round dial (gearbox, feed/thread, on/off motor generator, and a couple more). Excellent condition. $100 for all"

    Dave,

Are those still available? If so, I'm interested. Can you put up a better picture of the round dial thread feed/thread dial? Mine looks good from a distance, but it's hard to read, the numbers have been flattened. So I want one that I can actually read.

I have one handwheel closer. It came from a South Bend Heavy 10 I believe, so it needs to be shortened or a spacer added to use it on a 10EE. $125

Many of the parts in this listing are still available. In addition, I just listed a 1.25" dia. tailstock quill, complete, in the parts and accessories for sale forum:
    FS: Monarch 10EE tailstock ram

I will post some updated pictures of parts still available shortly.

Here are photos that show what is currently available. All the accessories are sold except one clam shell indicator. Not shown are a round dial gearbox, a square dial apron, lots of WIAD parts, transformers, a 5 HP GE DC motor, and a couple of doors for a round dial base. probably a lot of stuff does not show up in these photos, so please ask if you need something.

I’m looking for a square dial gearbox input gear (splined variety) to use in a VFD conversion.

    Any chance you have one?

If you have the rest of a(ny) mostly-undamaged reduction gearbox, that is not a show-stopper.

The AC motor has much lower peak torque. Not only because it IS "AC", but because - as with the later 5 HP Dee Cee motors, the HP is calculated at a higher RPM, hence lower Torque - than the original 640 RPM "Large Frame" DC motor the gearbox was born to serve.

Alter the shaft and bearing support to make use of what you DO have, and you might be done many months SOONER than after a long search for a splined input or gearbox, entire.

A reduced-diameter shaft, or extension, be it single-key, loctited, or pinned instead of splined isn't likely to fail at that point.

There just isn't enough energy on the input side, nor enough load on the output side to make it fail.

Even if I'm dead-wrong about that?

What safer place to have it fail than on an ignorant shaft - "shear pin" assisted or never - that can easily and cheaply be made new from scratch - rather than costlier gears needing specialized assistance to fab?

You're talking about a complete 2 speed gearbox with splined output shaft? I have one, but I will only sell it with the 5HP GE DC motor it came on.

    In my thread
Restoration of Monarch 10EE Serial#26080 Delivered on 11/2/1944 to Buick
Post 142. I have some images of the carriage dial. It has two halves, the back half appears to have part of the casting broken. Any chance you have that part lying around in you stash of parts?

My machine is a 1944 round dial.

You can reply to that post in my thread or PM me, or email me from PM

    Thank you.

    Tom
