So a thread came up with questions of unknown holes on a Monarch CY. I own a 1943 16CY and my ears perked up.
One of the mystery holes was the 1/2" hole on top of the tail stock.

So, being a hobbiest machinist, it was interesting to hear this hole is for a Dauber. Read the thread above to get the whole story.
Of course I need to have a dauber on my lathe, so I contacted a gentleman that makes daubers for other lathes and asked if he could make a dauber for a Monarch, 1/2" diameter well.
Tim Q of Alisam Engineering found these pictures on PM forum. Looks good to me.

He is on eBay and is going to look into a batch.
I'll let you know if/when they are available.
If you happen to have an actual dauber for a Monarch CY, or have more information, please don't hesitate to respond. I have given Tim Q Alisam Engineering the link to this thread. He is very busy so please don't nag him for any more information.
