    Default Monarch steady rest?

So i bought a 12 c monarch lathe today. I was shooting the bull with a friend and we figured out i have the wrong steady rest. It appears to be maybe a 16? Lathe steady rest. I provided pictures it has c 13943 on the round stamped part. The paint seems to match the rest of the lathe though. The mfrs number on the machine is 6335 born 3-1939 any info or help would be appreciated. Anywhere i can get a manual and maybe a steady rest for it also.

Measure steady from surface that sits on flat way up to split line - It will be 9.000" for a 16" - like on my 16 CW

If you do find it to be 9" and decide to sell it, I would be interested

    WMCM,
Sometimes there are identifying letters on the
little round raised spot in the center of the
base. You can easily see the round in your second
pic. Scrape the paint off and look for 2 or 3
    stamped letters.

Bringing back a four year old post, hoping the op is still around.

If the op, or anyone else, has a monarch steady rest for a 14c, I'm in the market.
