So I like many of the forum members here have a monarch lathe that is missing the steady rest. We are then faced with the task of either buying a donor machine with the rests on them, or making/fabricating one of our own, or searching the internet trying to find one. I had a thought and I'm looking for some feedback on this, has there been any discussion on having new ones cast from existing factory rests? Maybe having them 3D printed for casting patterns? Any thoughts or ideas out there? Lets hear them. Thanks
