Monarch's "Travel Dial"

Question Bill - how does that relate to Monarch's?
Exactly. Monarch used interpolating gears often, the example John gave is one of many.
Examples relevant to 10EE that I am familiar with are the “micro-gauging” cross slide dial assembly and the carriage hand-wheel assembly which shows total distance travelled (very rare). The constant surface speed attachment might be another example, except that it is not purely mechanical, using a rheostat as its modus operandii.

Here are some photos from a Monarch sales brochure that are relevant to the original post:

Another "travel dial" by Monarch. This one is apron mounted directly.

This Monarch 10 ee has a Monarch travel dial mounted on the apron. This is a square dial post war machine.IMG_0005 (3).jpg
