My lathe has a bent spindle that I need to replace. I sent the spindle to Monarch and they verified that it is bent beyond repair. I would like to buy a used spindle if anyone has one available please let me know. Thanks.

It does look like it's a nice machine. FWIW, I was told by a Monarch tech to avoid servo shift machines. Were they known for hydraulic problems?

Just in general, after some decades the seals deteriorate, once that begins the components leak internally and externally, then may require considerable time and effort to repair, as often obsolete seals are encountered, and modifications may be needed to use much better modern seals.
I remember a similar machine Leblond, that when you selected another speed with the single dial,, the chuck automatically rocked back and forth so the gears could shift and mesh in, some complicated hydraulics there.
